are b and d series distributor cap the same?
Mounting points are different and on the b-series distributor the 2 teeth that go into the intake came are offset so that you can never install the distributor 180 off. unlike the d-series, the two teeth are centered and if you don't put the rotor pointer torwards the number 1 plug, you can accidently install it 180 degrees off!!!!
ohh ok, cause i found a msd cap (the see through one) and put it on my hatch with the gsr motor and it works. My friend was saying thats a d series cap. So since it works then its a b series cap.

Isn't he asking about just the cap?
For caps, some are interchangable I'm assuming since some part #s for MSD caps apply to both SOHC Civics and DOHC Integras

Oh ****, yeah ,my bad. i'm retarted!! I read the post to fast!!! I really don't know which caps would be interchangable, but I have a Obd2 distributor off an integra on my b16a, and I have an extra SOHC distributor that I just tried to put the SOHC cap on my DOHC distributor and it wouldn't fit!!!! But if he says its off a d-series and it fits on a DOHC distributor than I guess it works!! Sorry about the confusion!!!
