If you are spending that kind of money, just upgrade the rods. Eagle rods aren't that expensive compared to a blown bottom end. And for the money you spend on ARP bolts, the extra money doesn't seem that bad.

No ive had bad experience with eagle rods they come out of round. if im paying 300 dollars i expect to not have to do any machining to them, im using the stock ones, they are more then enough for 250 hp im having them machined for the arp bolts and that is plenty. if i wanted rods i would do a totaly different project. the set up i have is want i want. please dont tell me what to get instead. im asking what turbo set up you guys think i should use.

i did not say they dont work fine i just said they come out of round and your engine wont last as long. if i wanted to do rods i would just get crower rods, slleve the block and boost 18psi. what good is that in a crx. i want a daily driver 8-10 psi 250 whp in a crx. i dont want to discuss rods i need a turbo setup.

if you want 250whp why would you do all the work to the motor?

ppl are pushing 250+whp on bone stock LS blocks/heads and have had them running for quite some time.

my car made 240whp/217wtq going pig rich on the first dyno run at about 9psi. (bone stock LS motor + t3/t04e turbo)

headwork makes a huge difference. tony starks' worked LS head (P & P, and valvetrain/cams) on a stock block made 300whp at 8psi.
