EG d15.... why do I blow up so many power steering pumps ????
I have a VX (d15z1) swap in my 1995 LX sedan.
I've tried to use 2 different power steering pumps, and both times they end up smoking (smell of burning PS fluids) and leaking fluids out of the 4 bolt plate.
I bought a new belt & am 98 sure it's the correct tension on the belt.

yeah it's slow as heck in my 2400lbs eg sedan.
but yeah, I just put my old LX ac, power steering bracket stuff onto the VX block.
but now am having issues with the pump.

i dunno the collapsed hose is def a thought but its a hydraulic hose and seriously doubt it went bad but def a possibility i would try teh fluid first
