another clutch problem tech needed
ok here it goes i've been working on getting my new car running it sat for 4 years well i got it running and the clutch pedal goes to the floor and wont come back up i bleed the slave cylinder for about a half a hour no air in the system still goes straight to the floor any ideas what this could be?i hoping its not the clutch itself
i am pretty confident but not too sure when i was bleeding the lin it pushing fluid out pretty good and with no bubbles so i dont think its th mc or lines but i've been wrong before
If the car has been sitting that long, it is possible that the clutch components, release bearing, and fork are all rusted. Try putting the car in gear and rocking the car back and forth to see if the components will break loose.
yeah it has been sitting a long time that would make sense i'll try that in the morning b/c the slave cylinder does move the fork mabey a half inch or so but thats it i reall havent tried to move the fork by hand to disengage the clutch but the clutch is stayin engaged b/c i cant move it ito gear with the clutch full depressed
