Installing a zex kit on a Friends 96 Civic HX. Install went smoothly (not my first kit) but it does something wierd now that it's done..

When you switch the ARM switch inside the car the nitrous is activated. No matter what, even if you are at idle it sprays. It's supposed to activate at WOT. We reset and set the "box" about 10 times with no luck. Thwe white wire is on the right TPS wire (the one that voltage changes when throttle is pressed) and the box's lights do what they are supposed to do when you set it.

We think ZEX sent us a bad box but I can't be sure, any other suggestions from people who have the kit?

 

All i can think of is to try to reset it again. It should be the middle tps wire, not sure what to tell you there. Good luck, i've sold dozens of these things and never seen one come back yet.

 

Yeah, i've reset it I can't tell you how many times. The TPS signal wire is measuring .5 to 4.5 and the wire has a good connection. We tested it and the nitrous works fine but you have to flip the switch in gear and turn it back off before you shift (not good ).

I guess i'll call ZEX tomorrow and see what they can do

 

Glad I have a first generation ZEX kit, no setting or lights.

No problems either.
