Default 1994 Accord Gauge/Cluster Problem

Just this past week, the Speedometer only works intermittently. It stays at about the 15-20 mph mark but doesn't really do much.

Any recommended fix, maybe get a another one from junkyard? Or will I have the same problem if another is purchased?

Thanks in advance

test your VSS is your ODO working properly? If it is, then most likely your speedo quit working but my guess is VSS

The odometer does not work normally. However, it does work when the speedometer is working (intermittently).

VSS? how is this done? (like the avatar indicates, noob here)

If the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) is involved, it will most likely turn the "Check Engine" lamp on at the same time and set a retrievable fault code in the ECM. That's not to say the VSS can't be an issue still, but without that lamp being on; there's a 90% probability it's the Cluster.
Last time I looked, there were 8 clusters available thru EBay at varying prices.
there are several things you should pay attention to:
Manual/Auto transmission
iL4/V6
EX/Non EX
These all determine specific sub groupings of clusters.

Thanks for the input. I believe it's the speedometer gauge within my cluster. I noticed the gauge powers up upon ignition, the needle jumps and then just sit idling at about 20mph. My guess its the circuitry within thats causing the problem.

Checked ebay and didn't find a matching one 94 EX Manual cluster gonna roll down to Alpha St. in Irwindale and try to find one there.

You do not necessarily have to get an EX gauge. Just the same Auto/Manual and 4/6.

When I replaced my cluster (mine is an EX), I used a cluster from an LX; just had to swap the black plastic bezel in front of the gauges so it had the proper lights lit for the EX (e.g., ABS, etc.)

Later on, I found out, I could have just swapped out the speedometer circuit board instead, and kept the same original cluster and mileage.

I was worried about the odometer since ones on ebay were so high.
