Default any options with a d15b7??

i have a 91 crx hf with a d15b7 i really dont have enough cash to go buy a d16 block so i was wondering if i can bore the d15 out to a 16 or 17 and also what are the best rods and pistons to use if your gonna turbo with about 8 or 9 psi? i need some options here im tired of the 90 something horsepower the d15 has lol. whats the best head to use d16z6 y7 y8?? what all wiring mods do u have to do to do a mini me. (i tried to search but the search link didnt work for me). thanks for the help in advance.

not to sound like a dick but arent you contradicting urself. you dont have money ato get a d16, but u have enuff to bore and possibly turbocharge it. that doesnt seem to make much sense in my opinion , unless i jus read it wrong.

That is one expensive parts list. . . . .but then I think I've heard somewhere that most tube frame full race cars are ironically 1.5L . . . . . .but then a type r swap will cost about the same, money wise but then it'll be less headache and more easily streetable . . . . . .

i know a guy who owns a machine shop so i can get the boring done pretty cheap. i have a z6 head but didnt know if a y8 or y7 would be better would possibly sell mine and get the better one. i already have the piping, intercooler just not a turbo and oil lines. so i was just needing suggestions and needed to know if it was possible to bore a d15 to a 16 or 17

that clears things up a bit. jus put that head on there and if ur commited to spend a lil extra money to finish the turbo project, the displacement of the motor wont matter if you have boost. use the parts u have and call it a day. but if ur still dtermined go one of the motor forums they'll have better info on the bore limits of a d15 block.

dude honestly... thats not really a good idea. i boosted 3 d15b7's and one had a z6 head... blew them all. i will admit there fun as hell... and the only real reason i blew them was cause i had a few laying around and wanted to see the limits of them (20psi.. leaned out on the greddy blue box and BOOOM) but still... on that much boost i still never made good power.

i was plannin on building a d16z6... i have vitara pistons and eagle rods and wanted 250-300whp... then i realized i could do the same damn thing to a Bseries and make close to 450-500 with a good tune and some other parts. so im now selling all my ****...

what kept me from goin Bseries in the first place was the cost of the initial platform itself.. that sounds to be the same problem your having... ill tell you right now, you better invest in a D16 block.. (matter of fact i have one thats bare for ya,..the one i was gonna build) they're CHEAP bro... just campare the main caps on the d15 and the d16 and youll see how much beefier it is... and boost isnt really the friendlest thing to a motor

all the rods that fit in a d15 are expensive and rare and that crank SUCKS...
do yourself and the machinist building the motor a favor, ...buy a D16Z6 block..
