swap in my eg hatch with a gsr tranny and the shifter is sloppyShift Linkage bushing install
ive got an ls swap with a gsr trans in my eg hatch. The shifter gets pretty sloppy at times and causes some nasty grinds. I want to keep the b series shift linkage and shifter because i like where it sits but my question is this...
I am going to buy the energy bushing kit. How do u press the bushing into the shift linkage? And how do u remove the other bushing( i havnt looked at it yet so if its easy dont flame).
Thanks

It is easy it should just pop right out cause it si a really soft rubber. The new ones are prolly the polyurethane so they wond have as much flexibility. I took a flat board and put it over th bushing and hit it a few times witht he hammew. The board distributed the weiget evenly. Be carful tough cause I also split one of mine. Oh and by the way you cant change your shift linkage to anything but b-series. check the little hinge looking thing that connects to the tranny cause sometimes the little joint looking thing breaks.
thanks bro. Yea i kinda figured it required nothin but some good ol american muscle. Ill check that joint i know what your talkin about.
