Yellow with black stripe.
Yellow with black stripe.
injectors have constant power and are pulsed with ground form the ecu....yellow and black is power....put the resistor there..
the others are grounds that go to the ecu
the others are grounds that go to the ecu
Whoa, don't do that. It looks like poopy-cakes.
There's a large gangplug underneath your IM, that has a "cap" on it. If you look at the cap, you'll see it ties all those pins in the plug to a common point. With a little junkyard resourcefulness, you can find another plug to fit it, and wire your resistors - or preferrably resistor box! - in at that point. Solder and shrinkwrap pls kthx!
Seriously, it'll look good, and feel good, to do it that way. I'll cobble most anything in a pinch, mount radiators and ICs with large zip ties because I figure I'll tear the car apart to reconfigure things before zip ties become an issue, but at no time do you expletive around with your wiring. Placing inline resistors right at the injector clips, where there is tension on a solder joint that recieves no mechanical connection, where they will get yanked on in the course of working on the car... meh.
