Default Removing resistor box and going from DSM 450's to RC440's questions

Ran a quick search and didn't find anything... who has done the resistor box and DSM 450cc injectors only to remove them/box later... I have not tried yet, but just wondering if I have to figure out which injector ground wire goes to which injector... or do all the injector neg wires go to a common ground. I'm installing Hondata this weekend and dumping the SMC500/DSM 450cc/resistor box setup. The wires from the ECU are color coded... but I don't remember if the ground wires were.

The "ground" wires are actually control wires to the ECU. The ECU fires the injector by grounding this wire. Those wires are the brown, red, blue, and yellow wires.

It's the power wires that have a common 12v source. They are the yellow/black wires that come from the wiring harness. You don't need to worry about making sure that the yellow/black is correct for each injector. You DO need to worry about making sure that the colored wire is in the right spot.

Why don't you just swing by the house sometime this weekend? I'd like to check out your new ride, plus I happen to have a 98 you can take a look at if needed. Also, what's the latest on the works?

Thanks Sonny,

I couldn't remember if the yellow blacks were independantly paired with its corrosponding colored wire. That's good, I shouldn't have any issue then...

Dust,

Weekend install for me is Monday... the old lady "gets" me on Sundays. I might be able to stop buy for a minute with the family on Sunday though... The new car is good enough to, on occasion, require the "European grip" if you know what I mean ... For my purposes it freaking rocks!!!! I'll call you about the other...
