Hardwired Sirius into a 2006 - SNHOND3 - no Ground Loop Isolator Required.
Hello,
Well I hardwired a Sirius One (the cheapest) unit into my 2006 Accord EX-L no Navi. I did not have to use a Ground loop Isolator.
(1) I used an Add-a-circuit tapping of the accessory slot
(2) I grounded the unit to the an indicated groundpoint using the XM radio install procedure as a guide. This might be reason why.
(3) I cut the cigarette lighter cord to hard wire it.
(4) The antenna is underneathe poodle shelf and is not visible. Seems to pick up the SAT signal OK. I can see the bars and I still get a signal when the terrestial signal is OK
I also managed the install without drilling any holes into the car.
