Default JDM throttle body-HELP!!

Ok, My buddy has a 96 civic ex with greddy kit and edelbrock intake. He recently bought a JDM ITR throttle body off of honda-tech. We put installed it and the car idle irrackly and high. I sprayed carb cleaner all over the throttle body and no vaccum leaks were found. The stock throttle body runs normal. PLEASE HELP IF ANYBODY HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS-I suspect something with the TPs so we are running the stock Y8 TPS and it does the same thing!!

sounds like tps might be shot. or check to see if the tps and map sensor plugs got turned around

I used both the ITR TPS and the stock Y8 Tps and does the same thing. The car idles at about 1500rpm. When i unplug the tps the idle surges up and down. When i unplug the IACV the car idles down but surges when i rev it. The only time it idle and runs normal is with the stock y8 Tb and tps. It also runs normal when i plug my finger over the IACV hole in the TB. Any more suggestions anyone might have would be great!!

jdm itr TB buddy. it has a MAP sensor up top.

check to see if the tps is adjusted correctly. use a volt meter and adjust it to .5 V at closed throttle and 4.5 at wide open throttle

dont know if it might fix it but check the idle screw. that might be why it is idling high
