I just got done swapping my head.. but i'm getting a windy sound on it.. is it something to do with my water pump?

 

well it's petty much completed.. we swapped in a z6 head on the y7 block.. everythings seems to be working.. the only thing is vtec isn't hooked up.. and i ghetto rigged my y7 distributor on there untill i could find a z6 distributor. I drove it around without vtec it did have a little more kick on the top end.. but i lost power on the lowend due to the lower compression. Everything seems to be fine it idles at 800-1000rpms which is roughly okay.. but back to the point it still makes that really windy sound when i drive.. like the earlier post i think it's the water pump bearing.. but i am not too sure.

 

if it sounds like it comming from the water pump than its prolly the water pump.

 

which timing belt u use?

 

i reused my y7 timing belt.

 

did you change the water pump? how many miles does it have on it?

 

my engine only had like 58k when i swapped in the z6 head.
