mini me water pump?
I'm gathering my parts and I was wondering if (isn't) the water pumps all the same for these dseries? I'm doing a y8 swap on a d15b8. I have the complete head and im gonna have to get the z6 belt and wondering if I just get the kit that comes with the water pump if that will fit and work? Not sure if the teeth are different on the pump then a d15b8 and If I will have a problem.

Are you askin if here different because you want to reuse te d15 pump? If your replacing it just get a z6 so you know for sure it will work with the z6 timing belt. I think they are all the same though. You could search google and prolly find out faster then the time it took me to type this.

Re: mini me water pump?
Ok cool I thought they were the same... but no no im not using my old pump... I have to get a z6 timming belt to make the y8 head work so I was just gonna get a kit which would be the z6 belt and pump with tensioner and just wanted to make sure the pump would work... I dug a little deeper and found that they are the same part #.

Re: mini me water pump?
I was planning on just keeping the bottom end stock, at least for now. Once I get it all together I might do some bottom end work but this is just a fun project for me. Any suggestions though I will take...
Its a d15b8 in a 97 civic dx. It is pretty much gutted in the engine bay, no a/c, power steering. I have an ex trans and lightened flywheel with roto rims and carbon hood. So a few wieght reduction mods and a little zippier trans. World sport exhaust. And now im gonna get this y8 head on which is complete... ecu, IM, and of course the head... so any suggestions from what I already got goin is more then welcome

But what pistons DO YOU or would you recommend for me if I were to swap in better ones. Stronger oem pistons and rods... just curious.
