You should save up your money and get a k20a, which is well worth it! Swapping a b18b would not be a wise idea because IMO I think swapping an older model engine into a newer car is ridiculous! Or u could do some exterior mods cuz I love the way those EM's look when lowered, lip kit, and wheels . . . so sexy! If your going for speed and don't want to deal with the k-series swap, u bought the wrong car! good luck with your mods

They don't make them, the swap isn't legal anyways.

Mostly a california issue, but the engine is older than your car. And a B18(any) will cost more than a K series swap, and there will be more custom fab work too. There is someone here who put a B18C in his 7th gen civic and posted a detailed swap here on H-T. Its sponsored by AEM and is run on the salt flats.

So what are you suggesting K, B, or just stick with the motor I have which is a D17A2. On the D series can I add boost. As of Right know I ran into a Problem of getting a motor to Germany where I'm stationed and getting the old Motor back.

Im not familiar with the 7th gen line up, but does that model have VTEC? If you dont a VTEC engine, i have priced them for $1000 and under. you could have it sleeved if you want to go the boost route, or just replace the rods and pistons.

Boost will be the cheapest route, next to Nitrous. A K would be super nice, and is becomming the new staple for swaps. You CAN do the B, but the only reason to do it would be unique, everything would be custom. Your car, if manual would require you to conver to shift rods since your car has a cable shifter.

You have to decide what youd like to accomplish and how much youd like to spend doing it. A mild turbo kit would have you in the ballpark with a RSX-S or the new Si, maybe even a little bit faster.

I found mounts for an 04 civic for K series motor. Will they work for an 05 sedan. Also will I need a condensor fan assembly and an Axle set.
