jdm k20a3 into a 03 civic lx ?
ok i got the following ?'s 1.can i swap this jdm k20a3 engine into my civic? 2.how do i know what year is the engine? 3. will it be a ca legal swap? any info will be helpful thanks.

I think you need a USDM engine from the same year as your car or newer for it to be California smog legal. They check te serial numbers. HASPORT makes motor mounts for this swap.

Get the VIN from the car you got the engine from and have the dealership check it out. You need that information anyway to the ECU flashed if you got it with the engine.

If the engine is from an 03 or 04 Civic. Technically speaking though, I think the first year of the Civic is 03 even though it came out in mid 02.

If the engine is from an 03 or 04 Civic. Technically speaking though, I think the first year of the Civic is 03 even though it came out in mid 02.
