Would the actual part numbers help? If so check this;

If you are paying for a new transmission, why not order the ITR version, which has shorter gearing and a LSD. The price here is the same for the GSR and ITR transmissions.

hi..
thanx for the reply. I´ll ask my dealer if this number will help to order the tranny. I want to go with the GSR tranny beacause I´ve got a turbocharged engine and the ITR tranny has too short gearings for my setup.

The ITR has shorter gears, and an LSD. On a boosted application having an LSD will benefit you more than having the short gears will hurt. I think the LSD will out-way the short gears. Just my $0.02.

Yes but I´ll but a uaife LSD itno the GSR tranny so there´s no reason to go with the ITR tranny. I´m planing to make aprox. 500 whp and the ITR tranny will be definitely too short.

With 500WHP, the ITR LSD is not the best choice. Why are you choosing Quaife over the clutch-pack LSDs?

Perhaps you could buy the JDM SiR transmission with an LSD for the same price and sell the LSD (same as the ITR) when you swap it.

The JDM SIR tranny has also shorter gearings than the GSR unit. I want a tranny with longer gearings and a long 5th gear to drive high top speeds. (we can drive them here in germany)

I´ll go with the quaife over a Kaaz or OBX LSD because I like the ATS products and they seem to work very well on those aplications. I´ve never heard from clutch-pack LSDs. Do you have some infos?

Theoretically, as GSR can go about 160MPH at 8000RPM in 5th gear. I see your point about cruising there. Here is a link that may have the chassis codes you are seeking:

I was thinking ATS or KAAZ units, which use clutch packs. The Torsen or ATB style units like the ITR or Quaife don't work well with wheel hop or when one wheel is lifted. (I personally run the ITR LSD, but I'm not pushing 500WHP.)

The OBX is also a Torsen style LSD but the quality is questionable.

Oh, ask Quaife to tell you their torque bias ratio. They told me that it was proprietary. (I don't like Quaife. Here is the reason.

Thanx for the link but thats not what I need. You have a GSR right (manual tranny)? Could you please tell me the number which is stamped into the firewall in the battery area. Here´s a picture of my car. You can see where you can find it (on a EG civic)

Because of the ATS LSD..many high hp cars use them so I think there won´t be a problem at all. Do you know another good LSD with lifetime warranty which will work fine? A spool would be great*loool* but not for a daily driver
Whats about the carbon ATS LSD´s. I think they are able to handle more torque (please correct me if I´m wrong)

goto ebaymotors.com goto passanger vehicles, then acura, integra, and type gsr in the search. it will only come up with gsr integra's and will have a vin number for each. just make sure it has dc2.
