It's been always sticking out of the kick pannel so I shoved it back in; I've always been wondering what the blue plug is for? Anyone know?

I said "blue." The dead center of picture with two wires sticking out of it, which is not plugged in.

 

that plug is for checking your check engine light...you can use a wire or a connecter... to make a connection together...and you can use your normal CEL to find out what CEL that you are throwing...(i hope this make sense) .

my bad skiped over the word "blue" (selective reading) but yeah its the service jumper port. jumper it and your CEL will flash if you have codes.

 

yup service connector. It goes in the soft green holder right above it in the picture, if you want it out of the way cleanly

 

thats the jumper to see what code yur throwig out when the check engine light is on and its for adjusting yur timing
