uh what sort of car are we talking here? Engine codes, ECU codes, year, modifications, etc.. But let me get this straight- you turn it on and floor the throttle? Why would you floor the gas once you turn the engine on? Where does it idle? Im just a lil confused, but maybe I'm just stupid

its throwin a code 14. its a 91 crx hf with a d15b7 and no i didnt turn it on and just floor it lol. i fixed the idle problem the other night and it ran fine. then the next morning i went out to start it for work and it started fine and i let it warm up and when i went to leave for work i noticed it was running kinda weird when i put it in gear so put it back in neutral and just gave it full throttle and thats when it did that **** i was talkin about. its a completely bone stock motor has 80k miles on it and it was just swapped in. please help.

whats a code 14, IACV? reset your ECU, unplug the battery for about 5 mins. and see what that does. if you still have code 14, you could try taking off the IACV, it's on the back of the intake manifold, and cleaning it up with some carb cleaner. I 've had to do it before, but not for the same problem. mine just idled odd.

It def. sounds like a sensor problem to me... and imo 800-900 RPMs is a good idle. what does it sound like when you try reving the motor? Does it sound like there is a rev limiter at 2000rpms? Does it sound like the motor is just missing? Is it driveable?
