well what do you want the car to do?
k20 top/k24 bottom custom build with turbo custom build that someone put into an rsx-s
What kind of power output do you want?
Have you thought about trying to get the power to the ground?
Do you have to worry about smog?

I believe the owner is selling the engine set-up for $15k now minus the turbo set-up.
I am looking to do my gsr up to about that power range. The engine will be built by someone else, since I don't have the expertice.

head porting:
valves/seals/guide/retainers/
installation/removal parts
labor of radial valve job cost me $3k
Block build:
Sleeve
Low compression pistons
turbo kit
tuning
will be about $9k for 10-20psi capable engine.

Look through all the project cars on that site. There is a prelude they did with a gt40 turbo. It is 340hp at 10psi. I am building mine to play with him at the track.

I believe there is no replacement for displacement.
If your not comfortable building the engine yourself, I would find what the shop would want to do. They may be better at building NA set-ups or Turbo set-ups. You wont have the hp #'s the turbo set-up has but you will be faster since you wont have the turbo lag.
Superchargers aren't my friend. They get hot and make your intake air temperature rise more-so then a turbo would. This makes the engine produce less power.

There's no such thing as a JDM B18 non-VTEC.

What? since when? last time i checked the integra ls in japan also came with the b18b (non-vtec). they had an xsi? i believe that had a sohc engine in it but there is definitely a non-vtec jdm engine (not that its any different than the usdm one)

first and foremost you need to figure out how much money you have now. and how much money you want to spend altogether..then add a good 5-600 dollars on top of that for things that will happen..because things will happen. and hey! if you're able to get it done with no mishaps..you have a few hundred left over for mods..or gas.

XSi is a 170 hp b16a. the only sohc engine teg in japan is that awd automatic version.

For second gens yeah. But for third gens, you can get a DC1 with a zc motor I believe.

I don't know which turbo is better per say. I am at a stand still on which way I want to go. I got a built head so now I gotta get the bottom end done to either high comp. or low comp to add some boost too.

I think building the ls is a wise decision. From a money stand point that is the best avenue to go.

go with a low compression.
With this you can have more boost and make more power.
just build it strong as **** man

Weird, it's not listed in my Integra brochures as an engine choice.
