Problem with car stalling
Had this problem with the car for the last few days. Car will sputter and die if throttle is left down when quickly revved from low rpm. 01 ITR, intake, header and exhaust, no other engine mods.
1. Only happens at low rpm's
2. Only when the throttle is quickly pushed all the way in.
3. Sometimes will completely die when taking off from a stop if I dont rev it above 3-4k before letting out on the clutch.
4. Idles fine, throttle response is fine once it gets going.
Anybody had a problem like this before?
Any ideas what to check?

fuel filter
injectors
plugs
timing
throttle cable
IACV
spark plug wires
rotor
cap
primary coil
ignitor
one or more of these things can be faulty. Get a volt/ohm meater, a helms and get to it

I had the exact same problem, my car would die at idle. I had bent valves and had no compression in my 3rd cylinder, once it got going it was fine, but it was very rough at idle.
You throwin any codes and if so which ones?
otherwise either a problem with the fuel or the spark as previously mentioned.

No codes, idles fine, just when you try to give it gas it wants to die. Also its really hard to start when it has been sitting for a while. Been driving the CRV till I get a day off to have it checked out further.

When you say "been sitting for a while,"
do you mean days? weeks? hours?
Of course it's hard to start when it's been sitting for weeks

Mine does the same thing, It's throwing a code 1106. Barometric pressure's not correct... I can't seem to figure out the problem. When i step on the gas hard it really lags.... big time... but if i push it half way it's fine...
I think i might have a bent valve because my vacuum gauge isn't reading correctly.. one day it was up to 25 at idle and the other day it was at 12...
It still runs great except for when i floor it... Can anyone give me some advice also?

You check for any vacuum leaks?
My old car had similar problems, it was running mega lean (cracked intake pipe behind the MAF). Maybe a bad MAP in your case?
I'd start following the helms, test MAP, TPS, etc. Ignitor could be a cause also, I doubt plugs, wires (unless they are arcing or something), etc...
Could be fuel cause it somewhat sounds like it's running either too lean or too rich.. or timing is way off under advance.
You really need to troubleshoot it, you are in possession of the car. It's going to be difficult to troubleshoot it over the net in this case.
