Vtec solenoid bolts
Does anyone know how tight the bolts are supposed to be when tightening the vtec solenoid to the block. I heard the head strips easy there when tightend to much... and that they r not supposed to be really tight.
9 ft/lbs? i don't know.. but they should be about the same as valve cover nuts or LS cam cap bolts. if you have an in/lb torque wrench, go ahead and use it... but i think most of us know how tight a 10mm bolt should be.
The valve cover nuts are 7lbft I think...you should be able to just hand tighten it with that low of a torque.
Edit: I looked in the Helms and for the GSR it's 8.7 lbft...I'd assume it's the same for the ITR

Because i cleaned it all up and i have a leak going from the bottem of the solenoid... its collecting on the head gasket on the front left side of the block... i just wanted to make sure the bolts were not easy to strip because id have to take the head off and re-tap them... total pain in the ***.
