<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by sinister357 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">did you need to remove the "basket" or did you put it in without clearance problem. i might have to remove mine for some mb quart.</TD></TR></TABLE>What size MB Quart, model number?

If the speakers will fit the 5" mounting hole then you can cut the back out of the oem speaker housing and gain some more depth or a "depth reducer" or spacer can be used, or a combination of both, if the speaker will not fit the oem speaker housing with the above mod's then you will have to replace them with custom speaker mounts, I use MDF.

If you remove the speaker housing and try and just mount the speaker to the door, you are not going to get a seal, and the speakers will sound like ****. 94

Sorry I can't find any info on the speakers, so I don't know it's mounting hole diameter or it's mounting depth, the stock speaker has a 5" mounting hole diameter and less the a 2" mounting depth, there is about an inch of extra depth if you cut the back of the speaker housing out, and you can "space" the speaker out about 1", [1" spacer] you can use the "spacer'" if the speaker mounting hole diameter is 5" - 5 3/16", any bigger the that and you will not be able to mount the spacer ring to the oem housing properly.

A spacer ring is nothing more then a MDF ring that is the thickness you need with an inside diameter the same as the speakers mounting hole diameter and an outside diameter the same as speakers overall diameter. 94
