Default o2 sensor

is it necessary to install an o2 sensor especially if there isnt an emissions law where im at? i mean does the engine really work any better or worse without it? and my car has hondata, do i have to change the ecu for a d16z6. (previous owner had the car turbo'd with a non vtec 1.6 head)

yes... the o2 i believe signals air/fuel ratio. as in how much more air or fuel should be added to the mixture.

unless you want your car to run really rich and get terrible gas milage, i recommend running with a 02 sensor. And your hondata program would be Completely different for a D16z6 as apposed to a non-vtec turbo D. my guess is you prolly shouldn't try to figure out any type of wiring on your own.
