Default weird vibration under accel

so yea like it says when i shift into second sometimes third my car vibrates like a **** as if the axels were bad. the drivers inner joint was leaking neway so i changed both. the car was originaly auto to.so i changed out both with brand new1's. took it for a drive helped a little bit but still the same thing. it also has a coming and going vibration around 65-80. if i let of the gas vibration goes away back on it comes right back. im kinda stumped. the clutch is a 95 gsr with about 60K on it and im running 2000 gsr gears and a ls case. i also have the motor mount inserts and the auto to five speed polyurathane trans mount. wtf is up with my car?

id say the axles are bad...just because the axles look like they are in good condition doesn't mean they are...or your wheels arent balanced..

As far as wheel balance, I watched him do them quite a few times, just double checking himself. Any other ideas......this one has me stumped too.

Bad spot on the tire, knots, flat spots from handbrake slides. Check all the tires conditions.

but he said that when he lets off the gas, the vibration goes away. if it was bad tires or unbalanced wheels, the vibration wouldn't stop would it?

to the thread starter, the only thing i can think of is to check your mounts really good. i know u said u have the inserts, but if the mount is torn, the inserts won't really help anything. since u replaced the axles i doubt thats the problem, but u could always try one more set. good luck.

It is not tires, wheels, or anything alignment related. If it were, the vibration would be there no matter if the throttle was open or not.

Did you replace both axles with 100% brand new units, or did you use rebuilts? Vibration while on the gas is almost hands-down a bad inner joint. I went through THREE sets of re-build CV axles (CCT-brand POS's) within a period of 2 months before finally getting a set that did not vibrate.

If you used rebuilt axles, I can pretty much guarantee you that you still got some bad inner joints.

The owner bought new axles. I was wondering.....could a bad clutch cause the vibration?

I know he said he bought new ones, but he didn't specifically indicate if they were 100% brand new or re-builts.

I doubt it's the clutch.

Shake down the front end. Get the front end off the ground, or on a lift, and try to move the tire up and down, then side to side, there should be NO play. If there is play up and down, its more than likely the wheel bearing(s), if it has side to side play, its more than likely the inner or outer tie rod ends. Mine has worn wheel bearings, and outer tie rod ends, and I have the same problem. I'm fixing mine this week as soon as I get my tax return, so I'll see if it solves my problem. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

This happened to me recently too. I ended up being my differential, some of the teeth were pretty worn. I put in an LSD and the problem went away, had to change the axles too though
