Default Engine Builders - need some advice

I'm getting ready to put the car down and build the motor. I've pretty much decided on what I'm doing, but I've come to a small road block in the decision making process and need some advice from some of the experts...

I've decided to go with an 84mm bore. Choice of sleeve is Darton. However, the engine builder recommended that I use the flanged sleeve instead of the mid kit. Problem with that is, they only go as high as 83mm. The builder mentioned that the flanged sleeve is a more streetable application and said why. I just don't remember all of his reasons.

Has anyone here run the mid kit? Any known issues? I've searched, but didn't find much.

Thanks in advance

Is this 'flanged sleeve' proprietary to the person your talking to?

Being limited to 83mm in an all motor build-up kind of seems like a moot point don't you think?

imo, if you're set on using darton sleeves. Get Earl/Benson to sleeve your motor

I'm really not looking to ship out the motor. The builders I'd be using locally preps Titan Motorsports blocks and has a real good rep.

Daily driven? How much power are you putting down on 93?

Thank you for the response
