Default Looking for a Nice Amp to run 1 10" dual 4ohm Sub sealed box Alpine Type-R sub

I just purchased a used setup from ebay, basically consists of a Alpine type-R dual VC 10" sub in a sealed box, 500rms and 1500 Peak.
I don't have it yet but I am searching for a nice quality amplifier to run it.
I was considering the older Memphis Audio amp (All Stainless looking) 500rms model.
Maybe the JL 500

Any help in some other amps I should look at would be greatly appreciated thanks everyone..
Btw I wanna keep it under 300, can be used older, or something brand new.

Them Type R can take alot of power.
If it were me i would go with like a Hifonics 1500 or so.Since youll wire it parallel and itd be a 2ohm loud, should be around 1000watts.
Just my opinion.

^^^^^^ no,no,no,no. Why would you run the sub at peak all day long? Do you know what peak means? I will explain it into easy terms and not go into depth. Peak is one musical bust at the peak wattage. Run your sub at peak all day and its not going to last to long or make it thru the day. I can see if it was a spl sub but not the type-r sub. What he (you) need to do is find a amp that puts out 500 watts at 2 ohm. Look at a mono amp. Go with the jl audio. good amp and put serious power and is cea-rated. If not find something around the net or your local stereo shop. Rms is there for a reason.

You must just be running numbers off papers.I personally seen someone run 2 12 Type-Rs off 2 MTX 1501s.All dayyyyy lonngggggg.
No problem.And how is 1000watts the peak,as i reccommended.

Check Out http://www.realmofexcursion.com and you will see what people run on Type-Rs.
They pretty much are spl speakers. They take a beating.
