You're talking about the blue wire coming off the deck? That wire would be extended and run to your amp remote turn on input if you had amps. If you don't, then insulate the tip.

Ground the amp to the bare metal chassis near the amp. I prefer factory bolts, and I take the paint off with a special bit I have.

if u trying to run an amp, and u want to know which wire to run into the deck, its the blue wire with white stripe, thats usually the one on pioneers and kenwood deck.

If your looking for the factory remote wire, its probably an accesory wire. But to save time and hassle, get yourself a plug n play factory wire harness plug. Any local stereo shop sells them and saves you from hacking away at your factory harness and usually makes the install pretty clean

I think in this case using a harness and reverse harness would be a lot of work when all you need to tap is one wire for the remote. Also then you have to try to fit an additional 2 plugs all the wires and connectors as well as a line out converter behind the radio. I would probably just tap the wires.

DEF. use the harness adapter. for one thing, you can do all your wiring connections at your desk inside, instead of hunched over inside your car. then just plug and play.

I was responding to this, meaning if he was running a factory radio. With the after market there would be no need for the factory turn on. obviously. I think I just mis read the post.
