Any results from Fla Natl Tour?
According to Heyward results are:
SS
Stewart (4 sec)
BS
Buckley
CS
Desimo
ES
Naughton
GS
Chiles
STS
Shenefield
Hollis
Allen
ASP
Jonathan Roberts (McGeorge C6 Z06)
CSP
Palmblad
DSP
Falangan
Rosenberg
FSP
Morgan
Very unofficial, and the bigger news was Robert Carpenter protesting the course for not being within Solo guidelines for speed and the protest being upheld. All Sunday runs were thrown out and the event was decided based on Saturday alone. Big thread over on SCCAForums if anyone is interested.

I was just reading some of that stuff. Sounds like a big mess. Great way to start the season. I'm guessing it will be a long time before we see any posted official results. Do you know if the ones you listed are the one or two day results?

Robert Carpenter, GS competitor protested the event today for unsafe speed. The SS GT3 was clocked all three runs I heard, at 83MPH...let's see 13 MPH over the speed by SCCA rules.
In return, the protest was upheld and all runs for Sunday thrown out....
It was not his intenet to just get times thrown for Sunday and advance any position but address issues long at the forefront of this sport.

I think its great that this protest happened. I think there are lots of too fast courses out there and it can only lead to disaster if it continues. 60 is fast enough. If you want to go faster than an HPDE is the place for you where there is an ambulance and fire equipment there to save your sorry a**
Here's something to look at, but of course the protest drama still isn't sorted out:

"I just wanted to reply to this forum as well. I posted this to the
evo list as well:
I just wanted to set the record strait. I was at the Tour this weekend as well as running local
Ft. Myers events often.
A friend of mine has a DL1 GPS datalogger. This is a GPS in car data logger with accelerometers.
The DL1 gives you course maps with car speed accurate to half a MPH. I run a CS Miata. On
Saturdays course, my TOP speed was 60 MPH. We also put the car in a Street Prepared STi and
top speed was 64 MPH. Sunday's course was slightly faster, I topped out at 62 MPH and the
STi at 65. Both cars were well setup and well driven.
Speeds quoted above are not speculation. Please do not post about speed at the event thinking
"My car does 60 in second, and I was in third, so I was doing 80".
Please everyone be careful what you post and have facts before making claims that may negatively
affect our sport."
seems pretty close to the reading of the rules. i was not there but relying on info from those that were.
