Default D16A6 + D16Y8 Head + few other things...what should I expect?

Well, I got this full y8 head swap (includes IM and TB) with everything I need for FAIRLY cheap...300 bucks. It has all obd1 sensors + dizzy and it's going in next weekend.

I'm wondering what kind of power I could expect out of this combo with a header, testpipe and exhaust and mild tune (friend is chipping my p28 ecu.) I looked up some compression calculator and it said with this whole combo i should have about 10.3:1 compression.

Also this is going in my 88 CRX Si...any idea what this thing could run?

I might eventually put a CAI on there as well as a B-series TB and dremel out out the IM to match. And some d15b7 pistons as well to pump compression to ~11:1

This is just my daily drive, I don't want anything crazy...please save the "just put a b16 in it" comments, I have another car which I go fast in. =P

Thanks

just put a B16 in it lol j/k Iono 300bucks doesnt seem cheap for a Y8 head. oh well. But I think it'll run pretty good on a CRX. Go and do it and let us know how it goes.

Lol, brought up an old thread...yeah I did the swap and the car runs strong...I just happen to throw a code 22 every so many miles...don't know why. (code 22 = oil pressure switch.)

I checked the resistance of the sensor and the voltage for it's connector, they checked out fine, so i replaced the sensor to fix the problem but after a while i still throw a CEL.

But overall, car is much quicker then before, a lot more fun to drive. Unfortunately i get that stupid code and my rings in my a6 bottom end are old and need to be replaced so i'll probably do that within the up coming month or two.

And for 300 bucks it came with a virgin p28 and a few other things so I thought it was a good deal.
