You will have to use a 96-98 ek civic harness, you can do it with the cx harness and just add the vtec and IAB wires or use a 96-98 ex harness and the vtec wires are there. No matter what you will have to add the Iab plug to the harness. You cant use any dc2 harness 94-01.

I would recommend a 96-98 ex harness, but like I said they will all work, although I would stay away from the hx harness due to the 5 wire o2 sensor.
Simple as that, if you are a noob I would say label each plug on both motors as you take the harnesses off and this will help you, a good thing to use for this is electricians circuit books, should be able to get them at home depot. This will help you recognize which sensor goes to which plug on their respective engines. Just label each plug and sensor with the same number as you pull the harnesses off the engines.

After this you will need to change the distributor plug, the easiest route is to order a 96 or 97 del sol Dohc VTEC (b16a3)distributor, that will have the right plug for the harness and sell the obd1 dizzy. Just mark the location with a sharpie or nail polish before you take it off, and mount the new one the same. Also check the ignition timing just to be sure once the car runs. Get a obd2a to obd1 jumper harness and run an obd1 p72 gsr ecu.

Everything else you need to know as far as wiring up vtec and IABS is on this site, just search.
Oh and if you wanna run an obd2 ecu you will need to add the cfk sensor to the obd1 engine. All in all this is is a pretty easy swap, just do some searches and look in the FAQ all the answers are there. GL
