your best bet to buying the whole motor assembly(engine, tranny, ecu, etc.). look on websites, find an importer or salvage yard in your area.

you can also part out the motor and since it's already apart it will be easier to rebulid accordingly.

price ranges can vary, all depends on what you want to do.
in my opinion, it will be cheaper to part out the motor. buy the block, head, tranny, ecu. send it out for rebuild and pay to have the motor put in once (unless you can do that, then it's chaeper), versus buying a used motor paying to put in and then paying to remove, rebuild, & install. and of coarse that is if you are willing to rebuild.

so if i was you do your studying before actually making a move.
know what you want
ya dig!

Um? Just buy the engine and put it in your car. It's an OBD2 B-series engine going into an EK of the same exact architecture. It doesn't get any easier or more straight forward than this swap.

You need to do some serious research before you blow a large wad of money on something you're going to be disappointed with in a month. B16A's suck *** for swaps into other heavy EKs, especially if you already have a SOHC VTEC engine. I suggest turbocharging a D16 VTEC over a B16A-anything any day of the week.

For the money it's the weakest thing you can do to upgrade the performance of your Honda, yes. That in and of itself is enough to make it "suck ***" in my book.

When my 264,000 mile stock D16Z6 Si can keep up with most B16A-driving morons at the dragstrip and devastate them on a road course, that's grounds enough to point the finger.

I see you're a fan. I'm sorry that you haven't had enough experience to know better.

but i can rev to 8k w/ my b16
im not going to say b16s are terribly fast
but they are reliable, fun, and decently quick, which is enough for me
id rather have a b16 over a boosted d series anyday for daily driving
but then again, i dont race hardcore
