Default Good gauges for watching warm-up?

I'm getting alittle tired of gauging my cars warm up by feel alone. Being a bit of a geek, I want numbers. What kind of things are good to watch to know it's safe to smash the petal?

I was thinking things like oil pressure, oil temp and/or water temp, but what would be most worth my time?

Honnestly I would like to know this myself as well. In theory its good to have the engine/turbo setup as cool as possible, like some guys drive off the trailer and go and run a 10 sec pass @ 130+mph, I would like to honnestly know tho if you can severely damge anything if you start the car, pull off and and 30 seconds later make a full boost run.

Heh, I'm not even running a turbo, but in cold weather (we have enough in Ohio) it really doesn't feel right getting on the gas when the engine is cold. This is even worse with the premium gas I have to use on the ZC.

I never noticed anything with my old DX motor, but yea, my milage has sucked with the ZC in the cold. It's been in the low 20s at times. I'm really starting to think milage is strongly influenced by idle speed.

I mounted these yesterday.
Costed me 10 bucks each at ebay. So far, im satisfied.

Measures oil pressure and oil temperature. Got one for coolant as well. but need a mid piece on the coolant hoses before i can mount it.

For monitoring wam up I believe you need an oil temp. gauge. The coolant heats up easier/earlier than oil, so even if the coolant has the right temp. the oil might still be "cold"
