why does my car keep bogging out??
ok i just re-bult my dohc zc and today i drove it for the 1st time, but now when i reach 4,000 rpm's my car boggs out... i did a compression test and i got: 160,159,159,152 things that may be the reason:
1) im running a turbo base map on my n/a motor (before the rebuild the car was boosted, but i cant fit my new turbo in the bay so no turbo for now....but im using 450cc injectors so thats why im running the turbo map)
2) my timing it at 21* tdc (this was the lowest i could get w/ dizzy turned all the way back) maybe because the map see's 21* and dumps alot of fuel for the turbo that should be there.
3) my cams, i know have delta re-grinds (272 intake...260 exhaust)
4) my exhaust (cheap ebay header, w/ 2.5 cat back exhaust) back when i had a dx motor it would bogg down due to the big exhaust (maybe it's too much for my non turbo?)
5) my pistons, i have low comp. pistons (since this was/is a planned turbo build) my comp is about 8:1

well when my zc bogged down at 4000 it was something to to with the distibuter. I had to get a new rotor. damn thing was in there spinning loosley. Hope that helped a little. Either way if it didnt its a free bump, but I think you should look at your dizzy, its a very common problem over looked
Oh one more thing. 2.5 isnt too much for it. I'm running that on mine and it runs just right
