FG2 Body - As Soft As Earlier Generations?
For those of you who own a FG2, here's a question:
As the topic states, is the FG2 body as soft as earlier generation Civics?
I currently own a EJ8, and the body disgusts me. It's like dough. I remember when I installed my current suspension set-up, after dropping the car, I pushed down on the fender to see how stiff it was, and left two slight imprints/dents on the fender with the palm of my hands.

I have no hard evidence here but I too own an EJ8 and know what you speak of. I have never done what you have done (left dents) but it does need to be pretty thin metal in many places. I have heard the new Si is much more of a rigid chasis than any previous Civic chasis and it carries a bit of extra weight but I would think that has to do with the increased rigidity (to some degree).

fortunately the chassis has as much to do with the thickness of sheetmetal body panels as the muffler and shifter ****.
