WTF is wrong with my car
to start off i just put in si 5speed into my std. and the drivers side axle has been giving me hell. i finally got it to go into the tranny and stay while i put on the axle nut. so i finsh putting my car together and check to make sure both axles are still tight in the tranny. then i go to start up my car, it starts i let it warm up then i turn it off get out and check for and possible problems. as soon ias i look underneath i notice a solid stream of trannny fluid pouring out. look up and the drivers side axle had popped out about an inch.
wtf is wrong, i cant afford to have this happen again, tranny fluid is not cheap

yes its the right axle.
if the clip wasnt there how would it stay in at all? after i got it in i yanked on it good twice to see if it would come out, and it didnt, so i gave one good shove back in just to make sure.

i figured it out, my brother sold me the wrong axle. it fit in every where perfect but it was about 1 in. so short so when i started my car the vibrating made the axle pop out. kinda hard to explain it.
I just gotta ask What tranny fluid are you talking about. The Si tranny I have uses motor oil 2qt's. I hope you are not using 90wt.

my brother bought these axles for me, he said they were for a 4th gen. so i believed him. and i kept asking him if there was something wrong and why this happend and he just kept calling me a moron and told me i should learn how to work on cars. so i forced him to look at it and the first thing he said was, wrong axle, its too short...
so to me, theres nothing i could have done to avoid this, other than buying the parts my self.
im so pissed, this problem has delayed my car by 2 weeks!!!!!

I read that, and all I have to say to that is

But also, to the original poster, save yourself some money and use 10w-40. Thats what the book recommends.

the book said something like 10w30, or 10w-40, and one of them was for if you were doing alot of highway driving or something. I dont have the book in front of me, but im sure both work just fine.
