Default 89 civic front bumper removal?!

How do I take out the top metal piece above the front bumper? The long metal piece that lines the top just below the headlights. I took out the bolts on the front, behind the corner lights, still won't budge.

I use to have a CRX and I could take the bumper off in minutes. I cannot get to the real bumper screws underneath the metal liner. HELP! TIA

my 90 civic si had 2 bolts on each side that bolted onto the fender, and then it had a couple up front....that was it i believe. you are talking about the filler panel right?

yeah, that is what I'm talking about. But where are those other couple of bolts in the front?
I removed the two bolts behind the corner lamps and the one in the center, but what else? I don't know where the other bolts are? TIA.

pull off the head lights..it makes this a whole hell of al ot easier...for the lights there is two bolts up top one on the side and one deep behind the light..use a long exten. to get the bolt behind it out..all 10mm....on e you have this out there is two bolts holding on the filler peiece..i recommend not putting these back in when you are reinstalling the bumper...makes it easier next time....

yes i know what you mean, its a pain, when i installed my ww kit i just un did the other bolts and it left me w/ enough room to stick in an between the filler and headlight extension to undo the bolt.

but ur best bet would be to take the light off, when i was installin the kit it was dark outside so i couldnt find the bolts for the headlights

thanks guys.
Is that bolt behind the headlight the bolt on the bottom back of it? That is a hard bolt to get to, but I will try... is that bolt necessary when I put the headlight back? I would like to leave that out also. Thanks again all.
