Default rockford fostgate 12's

are the rockford fostgate 12 inch P1 speakers any good? alng with a 300 watt amp? i have no knowledge of speakers so nay help is good

If you are talking about this one http://www.rockfordfosgate.com...en_US at it's price point, [MSLP $99] it is an OK sub, but 300W, [if that's 300W RMS into 4 ohms] is a little more then you need, [the sub is a 150W continues 300W peak] a 150W to 200W amp is all you need, a little "overpowering" is OK, but with a 300W amp you will have to be very careful on how much you turn up the gain on the amp.
However if you are talking about 2 of the 12" subs, then ignore the above, [except the part about being a little "overpowered"] 2 R/F P112S8s, [wired in parallel] and a 300W, [if its 300W rms into 4 ohms] should sound pretty good, [as long as subs are in the proper box].
