Default B16 swap into Civic ek9

Hi to all the people in honda-tech

Well I am from Philly, I am having a bit of trouble on finding information on what parts I need for a b16 swap into my civic(EK) its a cx model if its helps. The problem is that I am not sure of what I will need for a complete swap, I know I am going to need an ecu...etc and wiring harness, but since its an ek my other question is will the engine bolt on to the car mounts? stumped

no...

you need
A. a mount kit from Hasport or AZR or something else....
B. or you could run a the stockers and get a B series tranny mount and an 99-00 Si rear mount...the driver side is fine...but user beware...its the weakest of the 3..
i just bought an hasport kit...

i can't help you with anything else because i dono what year your car is...96-98 or 99-00

but you need
1. motor + trans
2. wiring harness...long story if you have 96-98 cx hatch
3.axles
4. ecu
5. any integra or 99-00 civic SI shiftlinkage
6.mounts or mount kit for b-series into 99-00 civic

also your car is not an EK9...it it were an EK9 we wouldn't be having this convo

and like everyone would say....search...cause i'm sure 50 people are gonna tell you this....

w/e...

all you really need is the swap and 99-00 rear bracket, and front torque mounts. the stock uppper tranny and timing belt mounts from your sohc work fine

you can use your stock harness and modify it , but find a 99-00 EX harness will make it easier.

This may be the most cost effective way to do this swap. You can order the 3 mounts you need to do this swap right from the dealer and and make it a clean bolt in install. With some aftermarket kit as good as Hasport kits are you may need to do some altering to them to make them work and they can be expensive.

OEM part numbers you will need

Side mount bracket (bolts under the timing cover)
99-00 Si 11910-P30-000 $59.97

Rear mount Bracket (T-bracket that goes from the back of the motor/trans to the rear motor mount or the rear crossmember)
99-00 Si 50827-S04-N10 $47.73

AC Mounting Bracket (Bolts to the front lower left side of motor, Compressor bolts to it)
99-00 Si 38930-P30-000 $137.25

The prices may vary some but not much, if you know someone that has a shop then you can order the parts through the shop and get 20% off retail.

Axles 94-01 Integra or 99-00 Si
Shift linkage 94-01 Integra or 99-00 Si
96-00 Civic EX engine harness

You have a few ecu options 99-00 Si 37820-P2T-A11 but they are OBD2B and have an immobilizer, so you will need to bypass that.
96-99 GSR ECUs 37820-P72-A04 but you will have a engine light for the secondaries.
You could jump the car down to a OBD1 and use a 37820-P28-A01 and run a Hondata S100 or S200 depending on what you are going to do with the car.

Hope some of this was helpful.
