I have an ls swap in my 98 hatch and it recently its been shuting off while im driving. It will restart after a few tries and run fine and then randomly shut off again anyware from minutes to days later. Has anyone had this problem or have any idea what would cause it?

 

wow i would check out your grounds or something cuz thats gotta suck driving and not know if your car is going to die....it might just be a loose ground....

 

All my ground wires are fine. Could it be something elecrical or possibly fuel related?

 

well i had a prob one time with the ecu fuse in the engine bay being loose..causing everything to shut off....maybe check that...its the 20amp fuse in the top left...next to the back up...

 

check your ignition switch... the wires inside may be loose you may have to resolder them... im having the sme prob in my 98 sedan... sometimes my starter stays on even when i pull the key out lol.... my mechanic told me this happens to hondas but yeah check your ignition switch

 

you're stalling just messing.

 

when you say shut off does it just dies at a stop light or does it sputter a bit first? it may be possible its fuel related,(filter, pump,etc.)

 

change the main relay.

 

check the IACV
