GSR 122k just put turbo, how do i keep the engine from blowing
I got a GSr just threw in a turbo. I got 122k on the engine and im pulling on 6 psi gerret t3/t4 and some 750 injectors also got the hondata for the fueling. Shop said my engine is still fairly good and I use syntenic mobile 1 oil. What should i do to prevent my engine from blowing trying to run it for like another 75k oh yea i aslo put like 2500-3000 miles a month
Tune it well.
Make sure everything is up to par. Compression check, maintenance etc.
BTW, I'm going turbo this summer and my car currently has 130k, so we'll see how that goes

Have you ever heard of seafoam? That stuff really brings back old motors..And you should do the timing belt and waterpump now if it hasnt been done already..
tuning is everything on a turbd car defintly spend the extra cash and get it tuned well and dont beat the hell outta it everyday and you should be good
and stay away from the all mighty money shift, you know...revving to 8k in 3rd and shifting to 2nd gear instead of 4th. it hides waiting for the perfect time and then...BAM MONEY SHIFT!
how to prevent 122k mile engine from blowing............ummm...........If this is your daily driver then I would probably pull the turbo off of it and find myself a project car to play with.
JK You should CHECK YOUR OIL ON A DAILY BASIS...and good luck with your car.
