I got everything i needed to do the leakdown test, found tdc for the cylinder and install the hose. i apply pressure from the tank and my second gage that tells the leaks shoots all the way around past the 0% leakage mark and stays there.

I also hear a low pitch hissing thats pretty loud, and cant locate where its coming from. its to loud to here where else it may leak from.

Either way, the gauge doesnt tell me ****, it doesnt say 100% leakage, its clockwise past where 0% would be....what do i need to do different?

Is the hiss coming from the engine? Put your hand over the intake and the exhaust pipe and see if you feel any air.

 

well you have a leak
get a long rubber hose, put one end by your ear and move the other one around till you find the source.

100% leak could mean something bad like a valve that does not seat, or even a missing valve

Like i was saying, its not 100% leak, its the entire opposite direction towards 0% leak, but its past that so its not a real reading. Same for all 4 cylinders.

I put my ear literally inside the exhaust pipe and felt and heard nothing, and i could not hear inside the intake manifold because the other low pitched hissing sound coming from somewhere in the block is too loud

 

take the oil dip stick off and check if no air is coming from there

what leakdown tool are you using?

damn you act like i dont know how to use a leakdown tester. yea, i checked that already.

Using generic 2 gauge tester. made my Astro.

 

well if you know so much why are you asking for our help
