Default setting ignition timing

i'm going to be setting the ignition timing on my friends crx tomorrow. it has a b18b in it and i'm not sure if it's obd1 or 0.
Can anyone tell me exactly how to set/check the timing? Do i need to jump the ecu? if so where is the plug at to do so? i have the light and have done it before on my ls, but it's obd1 and i've never really worked on a crx or any obd0 car
thanks for any help

You adjust it the same on all B-series, get your light, check the timing and adjust the dizzy if needed. You don't need to mess with the ECU at all.
