Get a High Flow cat from Random Tech or Carsound, they will make your car run better ( a little bit more power)

I've been thinking of doing this also, but are they CARB legal? Any problems with smog?

magnaflow/carsound cats are not carb legal for obd2 cars yet. They are working on it. You can still pass tailpipe with them, but if the smog place looks closely at the cat, then they will realize it is not stock. But, if you have a good cat on your car already, get the direct fit magnaflow cat and then just switch it out for smog. As long as a cat is there, most cops don't know they aren't stock. If you get popped by a cop, usually all they do is tap it with their flashlight just to make sure it isn't hollow.

My '97 Integra GSR had a recall for the catalytic converter. Check with Acura. I never cashed in because I have a JDM ITR catallytic converter.

If yours is not subject to a recall, I'll sell you my old one for $75 shipped. The heat shields are missing, but it passed emmisions. It has 56,000 miles on it.
