Default building motor

im building a lsvtec but wont be dropping it in for a couple months. i have all the parts for the bottom end. do you guys think its okay to assemble it now, or wait till i drop it. im asking this because my crank is starting to build rust just sitting. thanx

If you have time to build it now, why not? but if you're gonna wait then go clean the parts till free of rust, then spray it with a coat of oil to keep it from rusting.

build it if you have the time and drown the entire motor in oil, keep it oiled and check it whenever possible to insure no rust builds upon it.

after you put it together spray every thing with WD-40 then cover it with a big trash bag to keep it from get dirty and moister. And if it's going to sit for a long time I would just check it out every once an a while.
