ok here recently my car has been makin this whinin sound like when i rev it alittle to ease out of gears...but it only does it when i have the clutch in or its in gear...any ideas???

i guess my car is a one of a kind with this problem..

 

if it only happens with the clutch IN i would guess throwout bearing ot possibly pilot bearing, if you sit the car in N and let the clutch out slow and hear the sound as you let the clutch out it is your input shaft bearing.

You're not alone, mine does it too. No idea what it is though, tranny still works perfectly.

 

well in the mornings its a bitch to get in reverse and 1st gear

 

i have the same problem, when i put the car in gear and let the clutch out it gores squeeek. but i dont have the first or reverse problems.. i think your clutch is going out

Prolly your throw out bearing.... Is it only when you engage and disengage?

 

your thorout bearing or time to change the clutch.

my hatch does the same thing, and its true about the first gear thing. i have to practically break my shift **** trying to put it into first. i just thought it was cuz it was cold.

 

well i have a exedy stage2 in it...and the car dont sqeal...just a whine ONLY when im in gear

 

maybe main shaft bearing or other bearings inside the trans. You ever change your trans fluid?

 

my rex did that, but only when you werent accelerating, it would make this whining noise. i suspect it was the belts.

 

ok well i found somethin else out....it only whines when u push the clutch in and give it gas..

 

mine does it as soon as i let go of the gas to shift. and sometimes as soon as i push the clutch.
