Default 92 ex - Acceleration Hesistation Problem SOLVED - THANKS amckee!!!!

The Problem - Under acceleration the car would hesisate, sometimes violently and to the point of almost no acceleration. This was very intermittent and would clear itself as suddenly as it started.

The Solution - A bad TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)

The Diag - I unplugged the TPS - This set an ECU code and set a default value in th ECU. Having it unplugged doesn't seem to affect normal running at all but I'm sure it is affecting fuel mileage so I will replace it this weekend when I take the throttle body off to clean it.

THANK YOU amckee for providing this solution!!!!

Kenny

I'm glad the mystery is solved. Thanks for posting the fix. I've been wondering how it went. Mechanically, you've got one of the most reliable cars ever made, but, it is 14 years old and your going to be replacing some electrical parts that have worn out from use. Good luck.
