Default new turbo

got a new t3/t4 turbo in my stock gsr, first turbo blew due to high compressor serge, but this new one i just installed today, the shaft would stop spinning at idle, when i rev it, it would spin. my only guess is oil backing up into the turbo due to bad placement of the return line but return line work fine with my first turbo. this new one runs a lot smoother and powerful but i don't understand why the shaft stops spinning at idle, any suggestions?

well, my i'm just worried cause the first turbo i blew spun all the time and unlike this one. and the other one responded to boost better too, same exact size turbo. does it matter if it's spinning at idle? yes everything is smooth and nice other than it comes to a dead stop.

i guess the reason why it boost better cause i hooked the wg vac to the i.m. this time i hooked it to the compressor. the new turbo has like 10miles on it so i want to reach at least 600 before i do anything crazy. which would be a better source for wg? i.m or compr.?

i would definitely hook it back up to the intake mani or brake booster, it will control the wastegate a lot better

NOT IT WONT DO NOT DO THAT ! THE INTAKE MANI MAKES VACUUM when the throttle is closed and then there is still boost in the charge piping and the wastegate doesnt open and then it gets all stupid and compressor surge!

take the wg signal from the compressor housing or if u want to account for the pressure loss of the intercooler just after the intercooler, but KEEPY the lines short to the wastegate!!!
