i just swapped in a d15b7
andim getting a check engine light
so im trying to check my check engine light
and i follow the instructions and hook up the jumper and the check engine stays on and the srs light blinks
and the check engine stays on

the problem is that my idle is smooth but it idles really high and sounds liek there really isnt a limit on it, almost like its accelerating
everything else seems fine

wow, niccccccccccce, just for the hell of it, check the blinks on the srs light. did u swap harness'?

 

no im using the same harness and i looked under the steering column and everything looks like its hooked up
i searched and it looks like other ppl had this problem before and there was no decisive answer
also when i turn on the car the srs light doesnt stay on

and the problem is my car sounds liek it is accelerating while at idle
so is it the tps?

 

what is it idleing at? (rpm)

 

i dont have a tach :/ but judging by the sound it sounds liek its almost going to redline or getting pretty high up there

 

so i jus tried the tps sensor off my old car.. (er the iacv whatever it is) and it fixes the revving and now i have a jumpy idle.. which means that i hacve a vacuum line off i beleive?
