Question for the engine builders???
I am building a B18A, I will be using the stock rods with Wisco pistons. I am sending the block, crank, and rods to the machine shop. The crank looks pretty good, but I will be having micro polished. My question is, when it's time to get the new bearings do I just say "I need rod and crank bearings for a 91 Acura"? I have only built Mtsu motors and I have read some stuff about Honda having different color bearings. I don't see anything that tells me what bearings are on there now. I see this 2-0 on each cylinder at the bottom, but I don't think that has any thing to do with it. Any help would be great thanks.
Ok, I did some serching and I think I got it. There are some letters on the block and letters and #'s on the crank. You just match them up with the book and that will tell you.

If you get aftermarket bearings, they will all be one size.
If you are rebuilding to "factory specs,"
There are letters on the crankshaft and on the back of the block
that will specify with bearing to use..

i believe you will find that you can't use Wiseco pistons with the stock rods - stock rod has pressed in pins - Wiseco pistons use full floating pins

For sure...If money is no object use OEM..
Honda engineers took the time to measure the clearances
and record them for a reason. >Longevity.
